How a held payment works
How it worksStep 1, Paid.
You pay once with M-Pesa, even for items from several sellers.
Step 2, Held.
Your money is held. The seller has not been paid yet.
Step 3, Your code.
You get a 6-digit handover code for each seller. Give it only after you have the item in your hands and have checked it.
Step 4, Released.
The seller enters your code. After a short window with no problem reported, your money is released to them.
