About ADDPlus+
ADDPlus+ is where you pay a Nairobi small seller with M-Pesa and your money is held until the goods are in your hands.
Why ADDPlus+ exists
Buying from a small seller you found online often means sending money to a stranger’s number and hoping. Many people have been burned, so they insist on paying cash at the door, and sellers lose sales or wait for buyers who never come.
The numbers say the same. In a TransUnion survey of Kenyans who lost money to digital fraud in the year to late 2025, 39% lost it to scams by third-party sellers. In Visa’s Stay Secure research, 85% of Kenyan consumers had bought through social commerce, and 58% of those who were scammed said it happened there.

What ADDPlus+ does about it
ADDPlus+ is a marketplace for small sellers in Nairobi, including the ones you already find on WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok. You pay once with M-Pesa. Your money is held until you have the item in your hands, and only then is it released to the seller.
Every seller is checked by a person at ADDPlus+ before their store opens, and the store page says what was checked. ADDPlus+ does not try to sell everything. It tries to be a safe place to pay a seller you do not know well yet.
As you ADD, another will Plus
Each purchase adds to something shared: a collective fund that pays grants to sellers, and a profit-share pool divided each month among eligible sellers in proportion to their released sales. Buying here is good for you and good for the next seller.
What we do differently
- Safe Pay links. A seller shares a link to an item or their store. You open it, read their greeting, and pay through ADDPlus+ instead of sending money to a stranger’s number.
- The handover code. After you pay you get a 6-digit code for each seller. You give it to the seller or rider only when you have checked the item. No code, no automatic release.
- Verification you can read. Each store page says, in plain words, what ADDPlus+ has checked about the seller and when. There is no “verified” badge.
- One fee, the same for every seller and every category. Sellers pay 10% of each released sale. All of it goes into the Plus.
- The Plus, in public: a collective fund and a profit-share pool for sellers. Their figures are on a public page, from the ledger.
Who runs it
ADDPlus+ is run by its founder, Kennedy Muritu, from Nairobi, Kenya. It is not yet a registered company. When the company is registered, these pages will name it and give its registration details.
