Never allowed
- Anything that is illegal to sell or own in Kenya.
- Counterfeit goods, and anything that copies a brand without the brand owner’s permission.
- Stolen goods.
- Anything whose sale needs a licence you do not hold.
The ADDPlus+ list
ADDPlus+ keeps a list of items it does not allow, with guidance. It will appear here once it is published.
Brand names
If an item’s title names a brand on the ADDPlus+ brand list, the seller must confirm the item is genuine before it goes on sale. The confirmation is recorded. A shopper who receives a fake can open a dispute with the reason “counterfeit”.
