Seller agreement

The terms for selling on ADDPlus+: verification, orders, fees, payouts and conduct (draft for legal review).

Draft for legal review

This page is a draft. ADDPlus+’s advocate has not reviewed it yet, and it may change before ADDPlus+ takes payments. Where it and the way the site works differ, tell us through the contact form.

Last changed 30 September 2026

1. The parties

ADDPlus+ is run by its founder, Kennedy Muritu, from Nairobi, Kenya. It is not yet a registered company. When the company is registered, these pages will name it and give its registration details.

This agreement is between ADDPlus+ and the person who runs a store on ADDPlus+ (“you”).

2. Your role and ours

You are the seller of everything you list. You set prices, describe items truthfully, deliver them or hand them over, and are responsible for your own taxes, including any VAT and eTIMS invoicing.

ADDPlus+ collects each payment for you, holds it until the handover, and releases it to you or refunds it to the shopper under the shopper terms and this agreement. [Advocate: how this agreement should appoint ADDPlus+ to collect on your behalf (LEG-01).]

3. Applying and verification

You apply with your legal name, national ID or passport number, a photo of the ID and a selfie holding it, your store details, where you operate, and the M-Pesa number for your payouts. A KRA PIN is optional when you apply.

To prove the payout number is yours, you pay KES 5 to ADDPlus+ from it with your PIN. It is paid back with your first payout.

A person at ADDPlus+ reviews every application. Nobody is approved automatically. Your store page then states what was checked and when. You may not call yourself “verified” or use a badge in your store name, description or photos.

4. Listings

Your first 5 items wait for an admin to approve them. After that, items go live at once and admins may remove one with a reason.

Items must be genuine and legal to sell. If an item names a brand on ADDPlus+’s brand list, you must confirm it is genuine.

Prohibited items and counterfeits

5. Orders and handover

Accept or decline each order within 1 day; after that it is refunded to the shopper. Send it or have it ready for pickup within your stated time.

At the handover, ask the shopper for their 6-digit code and enter it. Never ask for the code before the shopper has the item.

The shopper’s phone number is shown to you only while you are delivering, only when you tap “Show number”, and each view is recorded. Use it only for that order.

6. Fees

Sellers pay 10% of each released sale. All of it goes into the Plus. It is a share of the item amount: 5% to the collective fund and 5% to the profit-share pool. Delivery fees are not included. Refunded sales pay nothing.

7. Payouts

Money becomes yours to withdraw when a sale is released, 2 days after the handover with no dispute. Payouts are in whole shillings, at least KES 100, and go only to your proven payout number.

Today ADDPlus+ sends payouts by hand, by M-Pesa or bank transfer, and records each one with its reference. You can ask for a payout from your money page once a day.

Changing your payout number needs a fresh check that it is you, a KES 5 proof payment from the new number, and a 48-hour wait. We email you when it starts.

ADDPlus+ is checking with its accountant whether it must withhold tax from payouts under the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act, 2024. Nothing is withheld today. You will be told before that changes.

8. Disputes

When a shopper opens a dispute, you have 2 days to answer with your account and photos, or to offer a full or partial refund. If there is no agreement, an ADDPlus+ admin decides, with a written reason both sides see.

Dispute and refund policy

9. Suspension

ADDPlus+ may suspend a store that breaks this agreement, sells prohibited or fake items, or puts shoppers at risk. A suspended store shows that it is not taking orders. Money already held still follows its normal release or refund path, unless an admin puts a specific order on hold with a reason you can see.

10. Your identity data

We use your identity documents only to verify you and prevent fraud. The privacy notice explains how they are protected and who can see them.
